Next Steps
**Read and reflect on the heroes of faith in Hebrews 11, and how God used each of them to fulfill His purposes.
**Pray for the next month for up to 3 people that God wants to rescue from the kingdom of darkness.
**Take a step of faith outside your comfort zone. Initiate a spiritual conversation. Invite someone to come to church with you. Share your faith story. Share the good news of the gospel. Watch God work!

* Identify which stage of spiritual maturity you are at and share it with someone. Invite them to pray for you to mature to the next stage.

*Discuss the role of the church in spiritual growth. Do our ministries an programs just keep us busy - or do they actually help us to love God and others more?

*Read Jesus' Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 5-7 and reflect on how your life would change if you actually did what he says

1. They were CAPTIVATED by God's Grace (Luke 7:37-39, 8:2-3)

2. To what extent are we captivated by God's grace? (Psalm 103, 1 Timothy 1:15-17)
    * How familiar are we with our sins and brokeness? (Luke 7:47)
    * What do we deserve?

3. They felt COMPELLED to love.
    * To love Jesus. (Luke 7:37-38, 8:3, John 13:34-35)
    * To love others. (Luke 10:25-37, Acts 2:42-47, 8:4, 2 Corinthians 5:14-21)

 

Next Steps
* Invite the Lord to help you reflect on your sins - noth of omission and commission. Once you've plumbed the depthes of your own pride, brokeness and self-centeredness, read and reflect on Psalm 103:8-12. How does God's lavish grace, mercy, and forgiveness feel?

* Rate yourself on a scale from 1-10 on how CAPTIVATED by God's grace you feel. Then discuss with family members and friends how you rate yourself and how you can learn to have a deeper appreciation for God's grace through Christ.

* Say "I love you Jesus" repeatedly every day this week when you experience a blessing of some kind. Then look for opportunities to love, share the gospel with, and show compassion to others.
